wish Christian community around the globe and Pakistan a joyous and peaceful Christmas Season commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, may peace be upon him.
In a message, Sohail Ahmad Raza, Director of Interfaith Relations, said that the religious festivals reminded us of common values of all faiths. He said that we were living in perilous times and there was the need of fostering interfaith dialogue and harmony in the world. He said all religions condemned terrorism and it was wrong to equate terrorism with any religion.
At Minhaj-ul-Quran International, it is our custom to celebrate Christmas and host annual Christmas gatherings and invite our Christian brethren. This has been the way initiated and promoted by the founder and Patron-in-Chief of Minhaj-ul-Qur’an International, Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
A regular attendee at these gatherings is Dr. Andrew Francis, Archbishop of Multan, Pakistan. Speaking at one of these events, Bishop Dr. Andrew Francis said, “Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has always been a torchbearer in promoting interfaith harmony between Islam and Christianity and I appreciate Dr Qadri’s efforts for global peace and harmony.”
