A three-member Norwegian delegation of Menigheten Kristen Tjeneste led by senior Pastor Mr. Trygve Brekke visited the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on the invitation of MQI’s Directorate of Interfaith Relations. Reverend Dr Marqus Fida, Chairman Gospel Mission, also accompanied the delegation.
MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Director Foreign Affairs GM Malik, Director of Interfaith Relations Sohail Ahmad Raza, Director Admin Jawad Hamid, Director Media Qazi Faiz ul Islam, Nazim Lahore Hafiz Ghulam Farid and Saeed Akhtar received the delegation and presented them bouquets of flowers. The delegation was conducted to various directorates and departments of the central secretariat.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Secretary General of MQI, gave a briefing to the respected guests on the contributions and services of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for promotion of peace, interfaith dialogue and harmony. Sohail Ahmad Raza gifted Shaykh-ul-Islam’s magnum opus Fatwa against Suicide Bombing and Terrorism to the guests. The delegation especially visited Minara-tus-Salam.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Trygve Brekke paid a tribute to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for his services at the global level for promotion of peace, love, interfaith dialogue and elimination of terrorism.
