The School of Religion & Philosophy at Minhaj University Lahore organized the Christmas Celebration 2025 in collaboration with the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Interfaith Harmony Seekers Society. The ceremony began with heartfelt opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Herman Roborgh, Head of the School of Religion & Philosophy.

The newly appointed President of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Rev. Gee Sungbea, attended the celebration as the Guest of Honour, along with the former President, Dr. Lee. Both leaders shared insightful reflections on the significance of Christmas and emphasized the need to promote unity, compassion, and interfaith harmony within society.

Several distinguished personalities graced the occasion with their presence. Among them were Rev. Samuel Nazir, Director Interfaith Harmony (Seventh-day Adventist Church), Mr. Samson Salamat, Chairman Rawadari Tehreek Pakistan, Rev. Dr. Marqas Fida from 7th Star TV Channel, Mr. Ejaz Alam Augustin, MPA Punjab, and Rev. Dr. Majid Abel, Pastor-in-Charge at Nolakha Presbyterian Church. Their participation further strengthened the message of peaceful coexistence and mutual respect.

The event was also attended by respected religious and academic figures, including Qari Khalid Mahmood, Pastor Aslam Ghori, Mr. Nokhaz Khokhar, Pastor Mazhar Bhatti, Dr. Muddessar Siya, Mr. Sunil Gulzar, Prof. Dr. Stephen (MUL), Prof. Nasir John, Miss Iqra Shabaz, Revd. Robin Qamer, Pastor Amjad Niamat, Dr. Madam Kalsoom, Miss Sara, and several other esteemed guests, faculty members, and community representatives.

The program concluded with meaningful closing remarks by Mr. Sohail Raza, Director Interfaith Relations. Later, during the cake-cutting ceremony, Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri (Deputy Chairman, Board of Governors) and Prof. Dr. Sajid Mehmood Shahzad (Vice Chancellor, MUL) joined the celebration, adding to the spirit of unity, respect, and shared joy.

This memorable event reflected Minhaj University Lahore’s continuing commitment to interfaith harmony, peacebuilding, and the celebration of shared human values.
